Why should I get a Professional Year Program?

The main reason for most people who enrol in a PYP is to receive the 5 extra points for their PR visa application. Yet, apart from that major benefit, PYP will teach you the culture and practices of working in Australia. You will learn about business communication and writing, presentation and meetings, along with job application tips such as how to create a resume and cover letter based on Australian standards.

The courses will be conducted in a classroom environment much like your university tutorials. Hence, it is also a great opportunity for you to broaden your network with fellow professional colleagues.

What Can I Achieve

+5 Points

  • Receive the 5 extra points on the Department of Immigration and Border Protection’s points test
  • To apply for a Skilled Independent (subclass 189) visa or more commonly known as the Permanent Residency visa

  • The courses are to be completed in 32 weeks and you will learn a lot about how to engage in an Australian working environment.
  • You will get a certificate that proves your credibility and adaptability to join the Australian workforce.

  • On top of the 32 weeks you will be guaranteed a placement in an Australian company for 12 weeks.
  • This will allow you to have a chance in getting hired full time upon completion.
